Abnormally elevated, irritable mood. Increased energy or activity for most of the day.
Hypomania vs. Mania
Hypomanic lasts 4 consecutive days.
Manic episode lasts 1 week (7+ days)

I: at least one manic episode
II: at least one hypomanic episode AND one major depressive episode. NEVER manic episode.

Periods of hypomanic symptoms but not hypomania AND depressive symptoms that don’t meet criteria for MD episode
Symptoms at least half the time.
