Essay is not a book report or opinion or argument - it is informative - it teaches something
Citations
In text citation (Chase, 1995, p. 156) or (Chase 1995)
Assigned book and class lectures do not need citation for this course
Quotations
More than 3 words in a row requires a citation
Reduce number of quotations - change wording, use own words
Reviewed articles
Paper indicates “Peer Reviewed”
Academic books are peer reviewed - if from a university press it is most likely peer reviewed
Trade books and magazines are not generally peer reviewed
Multiple citations points to most likely peer reviewed
Journals are peer reviewed
