Private pilot privileges and limitations

A

Privileges:
Carry passengers for hire if:
Only incidental to business
Demonstrate aircraft to potential buyer if logged 200 hours flight time
Tow gliders if meet qualifications in parts 61 and 91 and have 100 hours flight time
Fly internationally- must have radio license and approval from the countries customs office
Be reimbursed for search and rescue operations
Fly for compensation for hire for charities (limited to 4 flights per year)

Limitations:
Cannot fly passengers or property for compensation or hire
May not pay less than pro rata share for flight expenses including fuel, oil, airport expenditures, or rental fees
May not fly in furtherance of a business or for employment
