The Five Hazardous Attitudes
Anti-Authority - “Don’t Tell Me What To Do”
Found in people who don’t like anyone telling them what to do. Resentful, and may see regulations and rules as silly or unnecessary. However, questioning authority if you feel it is in error is your prerogative.
Impulsivity - “Do It Quickly”
Frequently seen in people who feel the need to constantly be doing something immediately and often do not take the time to think of what they’re doing if it is being done correctly.
Invulnerability - “It Won’t Happen To Me
People who don’t think that accidents will happen to them, and that it’s unlikely or impossible to happen to them. Increases risk taking and over confidence.
Macho - “I Can Do It”
People who are always trying to prove they’re better or more skilled than anyone else can increase risk taking action and over confidence.
Resignation - “What’s The Use?”
See themselves as unable to make a large difference and therefore leads to a “go with the flow” and unresponsive attitude.
