Maneuvers Flashcards

1
Q

Go Around/Rejected Landing Execution (2-17)

A
  • Smoothly Apply Maximum Power
  • Retract Flaps to 20, if fully extended
  • Establish positive rate of climb, while accelerating to 60KIAS
  • Retract flaps at 60KIAS, while accelerating to Vx or Vy as appropriate
  • Adjust Trim and maintain maximum power to a save maneuvering altitude

Power-Off Stalls - Execute (3-7)

Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL

A
  • Reduce throttle to idle
  • Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 70KIAS
  • Pitch airplane down to establish a normal approach attitude
  • Set flaps UP to FULL as specified by instructor
  • Establish a stabilized descent maintaining bank or heading
  • Establish and maintain a coordinated landing pitch attitude

Power-On Stalls - Takeoff Configuration - Execute (3-9)(Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL)

A
  • Set flaps to 10
  • Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 55 KIAS
  • Apply full power, establish normal climb

Q

Power-Off Stalls - Recovery (3-7)

A
  • Release back pressure to reduce angle of attack
  • Throttle to maximum power
  • Level Wings
  • Retract flaps to 20 if FULL
  • Establish positive rate of climb, accelerating to 60
  • Retract flaps up one setting at a time after 60 and climb accelerating to Vx or Vy

Q

Spins - Execute (3-17) (DUAL 4,000 AGL)

A
  • Select suitable ground reference points and altitude predetermine number of turns
  • Reduce throttle to idle
  • Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 70KIAS
  • Pitch down to establish normal approach attitude
  • Set flaps UP
  • Establish stabilized descent while maintaining a specified heading or bank
  • Establish landing pitch
  • As airplane stalls, apply full aft elevator and apply full rudder in direction of spin
  • Maintain proper control deflections throughout spin
  • Count revolutions by hal turns
  • Spins should be limited to 2 turns

Steep Turns (3-18) (Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL)

A
  • Smoothly roll into coordinated 45 degree bank
  • As turn is being established back pressure increase and two nose up trim turns
  • Increase power to meet selected altitude
  • Rollout entry heading releasing control wheel pressure, reducing power, and maintaining coordination
