Maneuvers Flashcards
Go Around/Rejected Landing Execution (2-17)
- Smoothly Apply Maximum Power
- Retract Flaps to 20, if fully extended
- Establish positive rate of climb, while accelerating to 60KIAS
- Retract flaps at 60KIAS, while accelerating to Vx or Vy as appropriate
- Adjust Trim and maintain maximum power to a save maneuvering altitude
Power-Off Stalls - Execute (3-7)
Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL
- Reduce throttle to idle
- Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 70KIAS
- Pitch airplane down to establish a normal approach attitude
- Set flaps UP to FULL as specified by instructor
- Establish a stabilized descent maintaining bank or heading
- Establish and maintain a coordinated landing pitch attitude
Power-On Stalls - Takeoff Configuration - Execute (3-9)(Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL)
- Set flaps to 10
- Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 55 KIAS
- Apply full power, establish normal climb
- Smoothly increase pitch attitude to one that induces full or imminent stall.
Power-On Stalls - Departure Configuration - Execute (3-10)
Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL
- Set flaps to UP
- Maintain a constant altitude in level flight while decelerating to 55KIAS
- Apply full power and establish a normal climb altitude
- Smoothly increase pitch to one that induces stall
Power-Off Stalls - Recovery (3-7)
- Release back pressure to reduce angle of attack
- Throttle to maximum power
- Level Wings
- Retract flaps to 20 if FULL
- Establish positive rate of climb, accelerating to 60
- Retract flaps up one setting at a time after 60 and climb accelerating to Vx or Vy
- Return cruise power setting when returning from normal flight
Power-On Stalls - Takeoff Configuration - Recovery (3-9)
- Reduce angle of attack by releasing back pressure
- Level the wings
- Maintain coordinated flight
- When airspeed reaches 60KIAS retract flaps to UP accelerating to Vx or Vy
- Return to cruise power when normal flight reached.
Power-On Stalls - Departure Configuration - Recovery (3-10)
- Reduce angle of attack by releasing back pressure.
- Level wings
- Maintain coordinated flight
- When airspeed reaches 60KIAS retract flaps to UP accelerating to Vx or Vy
- Return to cruise power when normal flight reached.
Spins - Execute (3-17) (DUAL 4,000 AGL)
- Select suitable ground reference points and altitude predetermine number of turns
- Reduce throttle to idle
- Maintain constant altitude while decelerating to 70KIAS
- Pitch down to establish normal approach attitude
- Set flaps UP
- Establish stabilized descent while maintaining a specified heading or bank
- Establish landing pitch
- As airplane stalls, apply full aft elevator and apply full rudder in direction of spin
- Maintain proper control deflections throughout spin
- Count revolutions by hal turns
- Spins should be limited to 2 turns
Spins - Recovery (3-17)
- Throttle Idle
- Apply and hold full opposite rudder
- Move control wheel briskly forward to break stall
- Hold until rotation stops
- Neutralize rudder, and make smooth recovery.
Steep Turns (3-18) (Dual 1500AGL Solo 2000AGL)
- Smoothly roll into coordinated 45 degree bank
- As turn is being established back pressure increase and two nose up trim turns
- Increase power to meet selected altitude
- Rollout entry heading releasing control wheel pressure, reducing power, and maintaining coordination
- Return to cruise power and settings.
STABILIZED APPROACH:
√ FLAPS:
√ - All checklists are complete
F - Flight Path Correct (on centerline)
L - Landing Configuration Correct
A - Airspeed Proper Normal: 61 Zero Flap: 70
P - Power setting appropriate for aircraft configuration
S - Sink Rate is not abnormal ( on consistent glide path)
