Axis 1. Clinical Disorder
- Anxiety disorders = Feelings of apprehension with normal social and psychological functioning (panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, etc.).
- Somatoform disorders = A display of symptoms with no apparent organic causes (hypochondriasis, somatization disorder etc.)
- Dissociative disorders = Splitting off certain kinds of behaviors that are normally integrated (amnesia, fugue, depersonalization, etc.)
- Mood disorders = Mood disturbances (major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, etc.…)
- Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders = Disorders involving psychotic symptoms (delusion or hallucinations, distortion in perception of reality, impairment in thinking, affect, behavior and motivation)

- Sexual disorders and sexual identity disorders = Maladaptive sexual responses, impulsive sexual behavior,
