TTP vertically
What is the difference on probing between a periodontal and periapical lesion?
Periodontal lesions would have pockets present whereas this wouldn’t be the case for periapical.
Where would discharge be, if any, with a PERIODONTAL LESION?
Through the pocket.
Where would the discharge be, if any, in the presence of a PERIAPICAL LESION?
Over the apex.
Where would swelling be present with a periodontal abscess?
In the attached gingiva.
Where would the swelling be present with a periapical lesion?
At the apex.
When conducting a vitality test, what response would be suspected for a periodontal vs periapical lesion?
Periodontal: Positive Response
Periapical: Negative Response
What would a radiograph show if a periodontal lesion is present?
Vertical bone loss.
