  2. No driving , signing of legally binding documents or operation of machinary for 24 hours after.
  3. Pt should fast for 6 hours prior.
  4. May feel nauseous after.

What advice should be given to the pt regarding the administration of IV sedation?

A
  1. They will be awake and responsive throughout the procedure.
  2. Must attend with a competent adult who will look after them for the rest of the day.
  3. No driving, machinery operation or signing of legal documents in the next 24 hours.
  4. Pt should not eat for 2 hours prior to appt.

A

At home 1 hour before the appointment.
