What are the 4 signs of anaphylaxis?

A
  1. Marked upper airway oedema and bronchospasm.
  2. Tachycardia (heart rate over 100 BPM) and increased respiratory rate.
  3. Symptoms of allergy (tingling lips etc.)
  4. Abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea.

How would you treat anaphylaxis?

A
  1. Call an ambulance.
  2. Lie the pt flat and raise their feet to raise blood pressure.
  3. Remove the source of anaphylaxis.
  4. Administer 100% oxygen at 15 l per min through a non-rebreathe mask.
  5. Administer adrenaline.

What are the signs of angina?

A
  1. A crushing pain in chest which may radiate to the shoulder.
  2. Nausea / vomiting.
  3. Increased respiratory rate.
  4. Shortness of breath.
  5. Weak pulse or low blood pressure.
  6. Pale skin.

How to treat an angina attack?

A

Administer 2 puffs of GTM spray (400 micrograms) sublingual.

Take another after 5 mins if needed.
