Signs + symptoms of pulmonary embolism?

A

Shortness of breath
Cough with blood
Pleuritic chest pain
Hypoxia
Tachycardia
Raised respiratory rate

Diagnosis of pulmonary embolism?

A

CT Pulmonary angiogram will tell 100% diagnosis.

D- dimer test can also be done.

Management of pulmonary embolism?

A

Initial managment:
-apixoban or rivaroxaban

Long term anticoagulation:
- Warfrin
- Noac
- lmwh
