What is pathophysiology of asthma?
A
Chronic inflammation in the airways due to an environmental trigger causing an immune response. This causes lungs to narrow.
The smooth muscle in bronchioles spasm + increased mucus is released making it difficult to breathe.

Symptoms of asthma?
A
coughing
wheezing
chest tightness
dyspnea (difficulty breathing)
Can see stuff in mucus:
- Curschmann spirals
- Charot-leyden crystals
