Pharmacologic category: phosphodiesterase enzyme inhibitor

Key side effects: tachycardia, headache, nausea, insomnia, tremor
Other Notes: narrow therapeutic index (toxicity may occur at concentrations close to therapeutic range; therapeutic drug monitoring is recommended); may cause seizures and cardiac arrhythmias at high concentrations
