It was unwanted and did not represent the people of Russia.
There were defeats in the war as well as desertions
Peasants were looting the property of land Lords and soldiers and workers were setting up unions.

The members didnt believe they had the authority to end the war.
They didn’t introduce land reforms and peasants were still starving.
