Why did the Bolsheviks attempt to take power in July 1917?
A
The front with Austria was disintegrating and thousands of soldiers had flooded to Russia.
Many soldiers went to Petrograd and joined the Red Guard.
Red Guard had 10,000 men

What happened in July 1917?
A
400 people were killed and injured. Many Bolsheviks were arrested and put in jail. Some including Lenin, fled to Finland. Pravada was closed down Kerensky became the Prime Minister
