Q

How does ameoba feed

A

By engulfing it’s prey with pseudopodia
Acid then released to kill prey
Enzymes then secreted into the vacuole
Food can then be stored within the vacuole

Q

Explain cycle of osmosis moving into ameoba cytoplasm

A

Ameoba cytoplasm is more concentrated than the fresh water around it
As a result, fresh water rushes intibut by osmosis
To deal with this, ameoba forms a contradiction vacuole (where excess water enters)
It swells with water
It burts and expels water
The cycle is repeated
