Q

What happens during Initiation?

A
  1. mRNA arrives at ribosome and aligns with it
  2. Start codon (AUG)

Q

What happens during Elongation?

A
  1. tRNA transports amino acids to ribosome
  2. anti codons attatch to codons
  3. polypeptide bonds between amino acids form
  4. tRNA returns to cytoplasm (get another AA)

Amino acids go into correct sequence to build protein

A

Process continues until stop codon occurs

(tRNA does not carry amino acid)
