Q

Pendulum damper weights

A

Total of 3, Attached to the yoke at the end of the spindle and are designed to reduce rotor induced 3 rev vibrations. They are approx. 50 lbs each

6
Q

Blade Flapping Sensors

A

Send a signal to the FCCs which respond with cyclic pitch inputs through the swashplate adaptors to reduce excessive blade flapping.

Q

Proprotor Hub Assembly

A

Transmits flight control movements to the Proprotor blades and transmits drive torque at a uniform rotational velocity.

Q

FFR Indicator

A

Feathering/Flapping/Rotor Load Indicator - At the lower left corner of the PFD/VSD when the nacelles are above 35 degrees. It provides an indication of current and trending rotor loads and calculated elastomeric bearing temperatures, and the effects of corrective action applied by the pilot.

11
Q

FFR Indicator Outer Caret

A

Indicates the current calculated most critical elastometric bearing temperature. The rate at which the outer caret moves in indicative of the driving parameter for temperature. A moderate rate is related to flapping while a slow rate is related to feathering.

Q

FFR Indicator Inner Arrow

A

Indicates the current rotor load and provides trend information for the critical bearing temperature. For temperature it represents the future position of the outer caret.

14
Q

What triggers FEATHERING HIGH HOT Caution

A

FCC calculates bearing temperature based on swashplate commands, flapping and duration and alerts the crew when that value is within 20 degrees of damaging temperatures

15
Q

FLAPPING CRITICAL Caution

A

There may have been hard contact of the rotor hub, rotor blades, or rotating drive system components with each other or the mast. Continued operation could result in rotor, rotating controls, or mast system failure.

16
Q

FLAPPING HIGH HOT Caution

A

Indicates heating of the flapping bearing.

17
Q

What triggers FLAPPING HIGH HOT Caution

A

FCC Calculates bearing temperature based on total flapping duration and OAT and alerts the crew when that value is within 20 degrees of damaging temperatures

18
Q

What triggers PRTR OVERTORQUE Caution

A

Proprotor torque greater than 132% for 5 seconds or immediately upon 150%.

19
Q

What triggers RPM HIGH Caution

A

Proprotor rpm has exceeded 113%

20
Q

The flight control system uses ___ as a backup for Nr if the Nr sensors fail

A

Np sensors

21
Q

What triggers FEATHERING HIGH Advisory

A

FCC calculates bearing temperature based on swashplate commands, flapping duration and alerts the crew when this value is within 40 degrees of damaging temperature.

22
Q

What triggers the FLAPPING HIGH Advisory

A

FCC calculates bearing temperature based on total flapping duration and OAT and alerts the crew when that value is within 40 degrees of damaging temperatures
