why is alternative tree based on the objective tree
to solve the core problem and the choice of the best option
explain the rationale behind identifying hypertension as the prevailing disease among the aged population in Barangay San Antonio de Padua I?
data gathered from the survey, 36.7% of the respondents had a family history of hypertension
21.7% answered that they have or had hypertension
Additionally, during the courtesy call at the barangay, it was mentioned that the most prevalent health issue among the aged population in their community is hypertension and diabetes
explain the significance of the project and how it aims to address the issue of hypertension among the aged population in the community?
enhance knowledge concerning hypertension and its associated risk factors
educate on preventive strategies and lifestyle changes to manage and mitigate the risk of hypertension within this demographic
educating the aged population about hypertension and promoting preventive measures
improve the overall health and well-being of the community members.
While hypertension seems to be the most prevalent issue based on the data, why did you not consider other factors like arthritis or diabetes, which also appeared to be common among the respondents?
The decision to focus on hypertension was based on a comprehensive analysis using a decision matrix that considered multiple criteria, including the magnitude of the problem, importance, budget, and available support
Although arthritis and diabetes were also prevalent among the respondents, hypertension emerged as the priority issue when evaluating these criteria collectively. However, we acknowledge the interconnectedness of these conditions, and our interventions may indirectly benefit individuals with other chronic diseases as well.
What strategies did you employ to encourage participation and minimize dropouts during the interventions?
provided incentives, convenient timing/locations, and involved family members to motivate participation.
Regular follow-ups helped minimize dropouts.
How did you make sure you didn’t miss any important causes or effects in the problem tree?
We did a lot of research, talked to experts, and discussed with community members to double-check that we covered
Why did you choose that particular problem as the main problem in the tree?
it was the most widespread and serious issue affecting the community, based on the data we collected.
How did you decide which alternatives to include and which ones to leave out?
We included the ones that seemed feasible and relevant to the community’s needs and resources, and left out the ones that didn’t fit well.
Why did you not choose some of the alternatives as your main solution?
Some alternatives were either impractical, too costly, or didn’t fully address the core problem as effectively as our chosen
How can you be sure that the objectives you set are actually achievable?
by checking if we had the necessary resources and capabilities, and by getting input from the community.
What if some of the objectives conflict with each other? How did you handle that?
If there were any conflicts, we prioritized the most important objectives and tried to find a compromise or a way to sequence them appropriately.
How did you plan to track progress towards achieving the objectives?
specific measurable indicators for each objective
planned regular monitoring to see how we were progressing
What if something unexpected happens that makes it harder to achieve the objectives?
We identified potential risks and made backup plans to deal with any unexpected challenges that could come up.
