What are the symptoms of a failed overspeed governor?

A

RPMs could got to 106% of 2120 (2247) (overspeed governor) as limited by the fuel topping governor.

Describe the preflight test of the overspeed governor?

A
  1. Hold the prop gov test switch up.
  2. Attempt to advance power lever beyond 2000 RPM and expect the overspeed governor “test” mechanism arrest / stop the increase in RPM at 1830-1910 RPM.
