RETURN TO STANDARD STRATEGY
Severe Turbulence
SIGNS………………………….ON
SPEED AND THRUST …………ADJUST
- Only change thrust in case of extreme variation in airspeed. Do not chase mach or airspeed.
- KEEP AUTO PILOT ON
- If excessive thrust variations : DISCONNECT A/THR
- If flying manually expect large variations in altitude. Do not chase altitude.
DESCENT TO OR BELOW OPT FL………CONSIDER
* to increase buffet margin
FOR APPROACH
* A/THR on
Note: For landing…
* config FULL or 3 can be used
* config FULL better handling
* config 3 more energy, less drag
Stall Recovery
” STALL, I have control “
- PITCH ……………………DOWN
(reducing thrust may be necessary)
- BANK …………..WINGS LEVEL
► When out of stall
THRUST ……………….INCREASE
SPEEDBRAKES ……✔️ retracted
FLIGHTPATH …………RECOVER
► If clean config and below 20,000 ft:
FLAPS 1 …………………SELECT
Stall Recovery at Lift-Off
” STALL, TOGA 15° “
Thrust ………….TOGA
Pitch ……………..15°
Wings …………..LEVEL
Windshear Warning - REACTIVE
► Before V1:
If there are significant variations in airspeed and trending below V1, reject the takeoff.
Flight crew should ensure there is sufficient runway to stop the aircraft
► After V1:
THRUST ………………….TOGA
VR…………………………….ROTATE
SRS………………………….FOLLOW
- If necessary use full aft sidestick.
- AP disengages if AOA goes above α prot.
- If no FD pitch toward 17.5 degrees
► Airborne, initial climb or landing:
- THRUST ………………..TOGA
- AP (if on)…………………KEEP
- SRS …………………….FOLLOW
Windshear Warning - PREDICTIVE
W/S AHEAD RED
► Before takeoff:
- delay takeoff or select the most favorable runway
►During the takeoff:
- REJECT
►While airborne:
- THRUST …………………..TOGA
- AP (if on) ……………..KEEP
- SRS …………………….FOLLOW
