Why did the people dislike Fulk?
- Tried to install his own men from Europe into positions of power which upset the status quo.
- Fulk part of the civil war with Hugh of Jaffa.
- Hugh allied with fatamids, the other states did not like Fulk.

- Intended to march to Jerusalem but died (and fulk!) the same year.
What happened when Fulk died?
- Baldwin (III) his son and Melisendes his wife shared power.
- Made it difficult to asset Jerusalem’s power over other states.

- Zengi was expanding his power.
- He had became Atabeg of Mosul in 1127 and Aleppo a year later.
