What is rest and recovery?
Time allowed for recovery between exercise sessions
What is individual needs and difference?
Making sure a training programme takes into account the individual such as body build, sport and aims.
What is progressive overload?
Increasing the intensity so fitness improves without injury
Whats is specificity
Matching the training to the requirements of an activity e.g. a sprinter needs to work on their speed
What is reversibility?
Losing fitness gradually. This happens when a person is ill or injured or stops training.
