What does FITT stand For
Frequency, Intensity, Type and Time
What does SPORR stand for
Specificity, Progressive Overload, Reversibility and Recovery
Specificity?
. The making sure what your doing is relevant to your activity or sport
Progressive Overload?
. When a performer gradually trains harder so the body can adapt and progress
Reversibility?
When a performer stops training and as a result the adaptations from the training start to deteriorate
Recovery?
. Is used to allow an athlete to recover from training
Frequency?
This includes: Inc number of sessions, Inc work period or sets and decrease number of rest periods
Intensity?
When you train harder. Will often use one rep max or HR scale
Time?
How long you train for. Should gradually increase and rest periods and decrease
