What is special about PGP?
A
Designed specifically for signing, encrypting, and decrypting emails. Over the years, it has expanded to encrypting files and hard disks as well.
PGP is a hybrid crypto tool. Uses symmetric for the bulk of its encryption, but uses RSA (asymmetric) to create a digital signature, and send keys over untrusted networks.
Note: It uses an older algorithm IDEA which is why

What are the encryption key sizes of PGP?

128-bit key for symmetric
512-bit to 2048-bit for asymmetric

What is GNU Privacy Guard (GPG)?
A
Updated version of PGP. PGP was open source so it was improved upon.
Uses AES instead of IDEA
