Folder Permissions
A
Permissions of a newly created folder are inherited by default from the parent folder.
Folders copied into another folder will inherit the permissions of the folder copied into.

The term used when permissions are passed to a subfolder from the parent through inheritance.

How do you Break Inheritance for a sub folder?
A
Go to > Advanced Settings for the folder in the folder properties.
A button called Disable Inheritance is there. This should only be used if you need to INCREASE security for the sub folder.
