I took the money[unclear if borrowed with or without permission], but don’t worry, I will give it back tomorrow.
I borrowed the money[permission was asked] and I will give it back tomorrow.
Tomar prestado
Tomé prestado el dinero, pero no te preocupes, mañana te lo devolveré.
Te pedí prestado el dinero y mañana te lo devolveré.
To lend (coloquial)
Will/would you lend me your bicycle?
lit. = lend but often translated as ‘can I borrow’
Dejar algo a alguien (almost like give)
