MANUAL MODE: Climbs the cabin at 3000 fpm to 14,500 feet +/- 500 feet

17
Q

Below what altitude can the RAM AIR valve be used to ventilate the cabin if trim and pack air is not available?

A

10,000 feet.

18
Q

In AUTO, the Passenger Oxygen masks deploy automatically at what cabin altitude?

A

14,500 +/- 500 feet cabin altitude.

19
Q

Max number of passengers (including lap children) is limited to _____ .

A

REFERENCE AOM 9.1.1.1
Passenger Standard Loading Schedule.

Q

Oxygen quantity in the cockpit is read in what unit of measure?

A

Liters (appx 5400 liters max)

21
Q

Assume the Oxygen system is not topped off and you are scheduled to operate a long flight with 10 people. Where would you go to look up the O2 requirements for this flight?

A

QRH1 OXYGEN DURATION TABLES (S-21), also FCOM 2 (OXYGEN SYSTEM SECTION 08-01-5), FCOM 1 (Oxygen Duration Tables 05-12-10)

22
Q

Where are the oxygen bottles located?

A

2 bottles in the LAV.

22
Q

The oxygen Bottle gauge (on the bottle) is measured in what?

A

PSI

24
Q

Max oxygen bottle pressure is:

A

1850 psi

25
Q

Following auto-deployment of the passenger oxygen masks, at what altitude will the oxygen flow automatically stop?

A

Cabin altitude drops below 9500 feet +/- 500

26
Q

The TICK marks immediately left and right of center on the MAN RATE knob represent how many feet per minute climb or descent?

A

300 fpm.

27
Q

Max cabin differential

A

9.4 psid

28
Q

30
Q

What is the cabin altitude at FL450?

A

7850 feet cabin altitude

31
Q

OXYGEN.

During a complete electrical failure, in what position do the following valves fail on the Electro Pneumatic Actuating Valve (EPAV)?

PAX OUTLET
CREW OUTLET
THERAPEUTIC OUTLET

A

PAX OUTLET - CLOSED

CREW OUTLET - OPEN

THERAPEUTIC OUTLET - CLOSED

32
Q

How many Oxygen Bottles are on board?

A

2 bottles ( one is 77 CU FT and the other is 115 CU FT)

Both bottles work as one.

Crew reads quantity in Liters on EICAS (5400 full)

Bottle Quantity is read in PSI (1850 psi full)

33
Q

The Cyan (blue) CABIN ALT WARN HIGH CAS message tells us what?

A

With the Cyan (blue) CABIN ALT WARN HIGH CAS message is displayed, the warning and caution messages (cabin altitude) have been reset to higher than normal values.

CABIN ALTITUDE (Caution) - increases to 650’ above landing field pressure altitude.

CABIN ALTITUDE (warning) - increases to 1550’ above landing field pressure altitude.

Both thresholds are limited to 14,300 ft pressure altitude.

34
Q

In PRESSURIZATION MANUAL mode, the maximum rate of change is limited to what?

A

+/- 2500 fpm
