Q

WHY IS IT NOT POSSIBLE TO OPEN THE MAIN CABIN DOOR FROM THE INSIDE IF SOME CABIN PRESSURE REMAINS?

A

CABIN PRESSURE ENGAGES A PRESSURE LOCK LEVER CONNECTED TO THE VENT FLAP, AND PREVENTS MOVEMENT OF THE INNER DOOR HANDLE. AFTER CABIN PRESSURE IS RELEASED, SPRINGS ALLOW THE VENT FLAP TO OPEN, THE PRESSURE LOCK DISENGAGES AND THE DOOR HANDLES CAN OPERATE.
