Group communication
A pattern of respondng that occurs between people who are interdependant, relfecting thier mutual goals or common interest.
Group Process
Any factors that can impact, posively or negatively, on a groups ability to function effectively and efficiently.
Role
The behaviours performed by members of the group that serve to promote task-oriented behaviour or that service to improve group cohesion.
Norm
a standard or an expectation that can reduce uncertainty and improve group cohesion,
Cohesion
the degree of affiliation that is felt between each of the groups members that encourages group members to remain in the group.
synergy
when the group’s output is greater than the sum of the individuals contributions.
groupthink
a situation that occurs whn group members unconsciously exert pressure on each other to behave in the groups best interest and never sat or do anything that would go against the interest of the group.
mediation
a collaborative approach to dispute resoluton that involves a third person or mediator assisting the conflicted parties to reach a mutually satisfying colution to their conflict.
