What is the progesterone block and why must it be removed for birth to happen?
The CL is producing P4 to prevent contractions from occurring. The fetus becomes stress and the cortical steroids produce larger amounts of E2 which removes the block and allows for contractions.
What are the four phases of the estrous cycle?
Estrus, Diestrus, Metestrus, Anestrus
