Describe the Positive Practice Procedure. Example-
Individual has to engage in correct forms of relevant behavior contingent on an instance of the problem bx. Eg- Spell a word incorrectly? Correctly spell it 10 times.
Describe the restitution procedure. Provide an example
Individual must correct the environmental effects of PB and restore the environment to a condition better than before. Throwing paint balloons at school, washing paint off along with entire wall.
Describe the guided compliance procedure. When is it used? Describe how guided compliance may be a component of overcorrection or contingent exercise procedures.
Individual is physically guided through the requested activity contingent on the occurrence of the PB.
Used when PB occurs in a compliance situation (person is instructed/asked to engage in activity).
Describe the physical restraint procedure. Example. Provide example of response blocking.
Positive punishment procedure in which change agent holds immobile the part of the client’s body that is involved in the behavior. Eg - Person is hitting another. Physically restrain person by grabbing arms.
Eg of response blocking- Person keeps eating, block mouth.
Describe application of aversive stimulation as a form of positive punishment.
Mild electric shock contingent on SIB.
