Q

What do auxins do

A

In shoots, auxins cause cells to elongate. They always move to the tip, which is how the growth of the plant occurs

Q

What affect do auxins have in the root tips

A

they cause cells to STOP elongating which causes gravitropism. Gravitropism helps roots to anchor the plant in place and reach moisture underground
