Plan Communications
Process of determining the project stakeholder, information, needs, and defining a communication approach
Communications Technology
Methods used to transfer information among stakeholders
Communication Models
Model of communication that demonstrates how info is sent and received between two parties, defined as the sender and receiver.
Encode
Translating thoughts and ideas into a language that is understood by others
Medium
Method to convey message
Noise
Anything that interferes with the transmission and understanding of the message
Decode
Translate message back info meaningful thoughts or ideas
Interactive
Two or more paties performing a multidirectional exchange of info
Push Communications
Sent to recipients who know the info. Ensures that info is distributed but does not certify it’s actually reached or understood
Examples: Letters, memos reports
Pull Communications
Large volutes of information or large audiences that requires the recipients to access the communication content at their own discretion.
