What are the aims of piloting
A
- small scale trial run of the actual investigation
- may involve a handful of ppts in order to see if it runs smoothly
- allows researcher to identify any potential problems and modify the design or procedure saving time and money in the long run

- when only the ppts don’t know the aims and procedures of the study
