Photosynthesis is an endothermic reaction when plants make their own food, they trap light from the sun to get carbon dioxide and hydrogen (from water) to form glucose. Glucose is used to build larger molecules such as proteins and carbohydrates which are passed onto animals in the food chain. Photosynthesis is also controlled by enzymes.
