*Catarrhal enteritis

*~2000 worms can cause clinical disease
What are the clinical signs of nematodiriasis battus?
*Sudden (explosive) outbreaks of acute, watery diarrhoea
*Inappetence, dehydration (thirsty!), abdominal
pain, weight loss
*Disease in lambs around 4 – 12 weeks of age
*Disease often starts in pre-patent period
*Mean WEC > 500 epg = heavy infestation
