Which organs are made of muscles?
oesophagus stomach small intestine large intestine rectum
How do the muscle- made organs work?
They contract behind the food and relax in front of the food, enabling the food to move throughthe digestive system.
How is this muscular action called?
Peristalsis

What is fiber and can it be broken down?
It is a plant component and cannot be broken down by human digestive enzyme.
Why cant fiber be digested?
It has cellulose and there isnt an enzyme in the body to break it down.
How does fiber help peristalsis?
It helped the production of mucus in the intestine which lubricates contents of small intestine.
What would happen if we didn’t eat enough fiber?
You would get constipated.
