Peripheral Cutaneous Innvervation Flashcards

1
Q

What is the difference between dermatomes and peripheral cutaneous nerve innervation?

A

Dermatomes are areas supplied by just one spinal nerve.

Peripheral cutaneous nerves tend to arise from several spinal nerves so tend to supply overlapping areas of dermatomes.
