MANAGEMENT

General principles

A
  • Sourse control - CT or US guided drainage, or surgical drainage
  • Empirical broad spectrum antibiotics
    • Choice depends on community or healthcare acquired and tghe severity/risk
  • Switch to targeted antibiotics once cultures known
