INVESTIGATIONS
First choice
A
- Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGD) with biopsy
- Comprehensive metabolic profile - advanced cases show hypokalaemia, increase creatinine and serum urea/nitrogen
- CT for staging

MANAGEMENT
General principles
A
- If low grade endoscopic resection with or without ablation
- If higher grade and surgical candidate oesophagectomy
- If higher grade and not surgical candidate chemotherapy and radiotherapy alone
