Vesicouterine pouch- between uterus and bladder
Rectouterine pouch- between uterine an rectum
Male pouch?
Vesicorectal pouch
Bladder
Partially covered by peritoneum, stuck against pubic bone
As bladder fills it rises to suprapubic region
Trigone
Internal area of smooth mucous membrane
Urethra exits, ureters enter
Muscular coat of smooth muscle- detrusor, at the neck circular sphincter vesicae
Sphincter vesicae not complete
Neck held in place by puboprostatic (male), pubovesical (female), ligaments
Arterial supply to bladder and venous drainage
Arterial- 2 superior vesical, inferior vesicle/ uterine
2 superior vesical on the left, one on the right
Veins- vesical plexus
Nerves- ANS inferior hypogastric plexus
Rectum
Upper 3rd- visceral peritoneum
Middle 3rd- peritoneum on anterior surface
Lower 3rd- infraperitoneal
Arterial and venous drainage of rectum
Superior rectal(inf mesenteric)- portal vein Middle rectal(internal iliac)- internal iliac Inferior rectal(internal pudendal)- internal pudendal
Nerves- inferior hypogastric plexus
Uterus- broad ligament
Broad ligament- double folded pertoneum
Mesosalpinx
Mesovarium
Mesometrium

Fimbrae Body Fundus Cervix Uterine tube Vagina
Uterus arterial supply
Ovarian artery (form aorta)-uterine tube and ovary Uterine artery (internal iliac)- uterus
Ovaries, arterial supply, venous drainage, nerve, attachment
Attached by mesovarium of broad lig
Arterial supply- ovarian artery (L2 aorta)
Venous drainage- ovarian vein (from IVC on right) (renal vein on left)
Nerve- aortic plexus
