A
Progressive loss of kidney function, with hearing loss, and vision changes; hematuria and proteinuria
Tx: low protein, low Na+ diet
No steroids- that’s Goodpasture’s

A
RTE casts
Tubular injury; some heptatitis, GN, nepron damage
RBC casts
Nephritic; pathognomonic of acute GN or vasculitis
Broad/waxy casts
Hallmark of nephrotic syndrome esp with mHTN, DM, RF
“Renal failure casts”
Fatty casts
Lupus, GN, lipoid necrosis
Hyaline casts
Usually normal
WBC casts
Interstitial nephritis, lupus, GN, PN
