They can be used to enhance performance. Increase muscle mass. Develop bone growth and allowing an athlete to recover quicker.
What side affects do anabolic steroids have?
It can have side affects of roid rage - aggressive behaviour and can have side affects of higher blood pressure
What are Beta-blockers?
Beta blockers are drugs that are used to control your heart rate and have a calming and relaxing effect.
What are the benefits of beta blockers?
They can help in target sports where steadiness and precision is key, because they reduce heart rate.
What are the side effects of beta blockers?
They can cause nightmares, insomnia and diarrhoea
What are narcotics and analgesics?
Narcotics are drugs that affect mood and behaviour, inducing drowsiness and relieving pain. Analgesic are a painkilling drug.
What are the benefits of these drugs?
Benefits of these drugs act by depressing the central nervous system and give relief from painful injuries p, but allowing the injured player to take part, they can increase the risk of severe or long lasting injury .

Diuretics are drugs that elevate the rate of urine production

Benefits can help performers who need to lose weight. They might also be used to hide other banned substances that may be presented in the urine.
What are the side effects of diuretics?
Dehydration, muscle cramps, headaches and nausea
What are peptide hormones?
Peptide hormones increase the rate of maturation of red blood cells.
What are the benefits of peptide hormones?
The benefits of these are that it can increase muscle growth and help the recovery of your muscles.

It thickens your blood which could lead to a heart attack

Insomnia, irregular heart beat, high blood pressure and addiction

Blood doping involves boosting the number of red blood cells in the blood stream in order to improve your performance.
