Q

What does the inverted U theory believe?

A

As arousal increases, so does performance
Performance peaks at optimum level of arousal
Once past your optimum point any further arousal will decrease in performance

Q

How can levels of arousal effect performance?

A

PERSONALITY- extroverts handle higher levels of arousal. Introverts low

SKILL TYPE- extroverts suited to gross + simple skills. Introverts fine + complex skills
