First part of exam
Wash hands. General appearance. Pulse. RR. Palpate brachial artery for BP.
Second part of exam
Inspect chest and back. Excursion. Fremitus. Percuss posterior lung. Auscultate (open mouth) esp R mid-axillary. Percuss and auscultate anterior.
Third part of exam
Put table at 30*. JVP. Carotid arteries w/ bell (hold breath). Heave. PMI. Auscultate APTM. T,M w/ bell, LLDecub. A,P w/ diaphragm leaning forward. PT,DP pulses. Edema
Fourth part of exam
Lay down table. Inspect abdomen. Auscultate. Percuss 4 quadrants and for liver,spleen. Palpate light then deep (look at face). Palpate liver and spleen (lift up from back and breath in)
Is inhalation or exhalation louder in bronchial sounds? vesicular?

3-dilation. 4-hypertrophy

GVN CLAE. General, vital, neck, cardiac, lung, abdomen, extremities
