Principal quantum number
n 1,2,3,4 etc
Indicates energy level for electron
Angular momentum quantum number
l, indicates the type of the sub shell.
Range from 0 to n-1
Magnetic quantum number
ml, Determines orientation of orbital ranges from -l to l for p
Spin quantum number
m determines direction of spin +1/2 or -1/2

Electrons fill orbitals in order of increasing energy
Hunds rule
When orbitals are available electrons fill up singly, maximising the number of parallel spins before doubling up.
