A

The aim of the research is to test explanations… we need to decide how to conduct a test by working out how to represents the IV and the DV

Psychologist observes human behaviour
psychologist provides an explanation for this behaviour
psychologist produces a testable hypothesis in order to test whether the explanation is true

What did Ridley Stroop Try to do

A

Ridly Stroop sought to investigate the effects of interference on performance speed. In order to turn the aim into an experiment he needed to operationalise the variables. IV is interference and the DV is performance speed.
