On the Incarnation: Paragraph Questions Flashcards
What does creation have to do with the Incarnation of the Son of God?
We were created in sin, and we needed a Savior who was able to die and raise himself from the dead in order to save us from the sin we were born with. Also, Jesus was there with God the Father in the beginning. There was never a part of the Trinity that existed outside of the other two in the Trinity. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Without Him, nothing was made that was made.” ~John 1:1 Also, Jesus is able to be incarnated because his union to the body is based upon his relation to creation. If there is no Incarnation, there is no Savior.
How did the Son of God reveal Himself as both a man and the ruler of all creation?
He revealed himself through his perfect works and through his pure righteousness. And, ultimately, his perfect humbling death, his most perfect work of all.
