Compare how the following individuals deal with the Ring’s power: Galadriel, Frodo, Boromir.

Galadriel is kind of like a greater being in this, so she seems more able to resist the power of the Ring. She also tries to help Frodo so that he will be less tempted by the Ring as well.
Frodo does a good job of resisting the Ring for a very long time, but towards the end, he starts getting a little possessed by the Ring. Gollum starts convincing him, and he starts convincing himself that Sam is trying to steal the Ring, as well.
Boromir does get quite tempted by the Ring. He wants it for himself. But he does a good job of not letting himself get carried away by the temptation of the Ring.
