Asymptomatic patient postmenopausal patients on tamoxifen found to have thickened endometrium what should be performed?

Answer 1

1. Endometrial aspirate
2. diagnostic hysteroscopy

Question 2

For symptomatic patients on tamoxifen what is follow up?

Answer 2

• Patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding, bloody vaginal discharge, spotting, staining or leukorrhoea should be seen within 2 weeks of the referral
• The followings should be performed:
  1. Endometrial aspirate
  2. diagnostic hysteroscopy
